Jogja Japan Week (JJW) is a biennial event which is one manifestation of Yogyakarta people's appreciation against the fabric of cooperative relationship with Japanese society has been built up over more than twenty five years. In the event, a variety of Japanese culture will be displayed with the objective to enrich the target of cross-cultural knowledge to the people of Yogyakarta. But the most important things that can be learned through JJW is how the Japanese culture are able to survive even the people living in the rapid advances in technology compared to other countries including Indonesia. This course can be used as comparative balance sheet and the chamber of reflection for the people of Yogyakarta is already quite firmly holds its own cultural traditions.

At Yogyakarta Japan Week 2012 with the theme "Shunkashuutou Matsuri" or can be interpreted also as "Celebration of 4 Season".
