Jogja Fashion Week 2009: Boedaya In Motion

Once a year, fashion industries in Jogjakarta hold a fashion festival to gather designer, market, industry and government on a forum. They run exhibition, discuss and built network in fashion business. The Jogja Fashion Week 2009 will be hold in 5 days. In the festival, we will see new trend of Indonesian fashion. In 2009, the festival run theme “Boedaja in Motion” means how local wisdom be a part of fashion trend.
    Dinas Perindustrian, Perdagangan, Koperasi dan UKM Propinsi DIY (Industry, Trade, Union and Micro Trading Authority of Jogjakarta Province) estimate that 10,000 people will visit during the fashion exhibition and 25,000 people will see the carnival street in the opening day. On top of the fashion exhibition, seminar about relation between fashions, information technology and cinema will be hold during the festival. Besides fashion, the festival committee will run photography and craft competition.
