PANTAI SADENG, Beach with Fish Auction Place Category : The Nature
Beach always attracts people to come. It's not only the scenery but also about the life it self. Many people living and surviving by the sea. They have their own identity and build their own community in the middle of modern life. They sell fish and crabs, waiting for good people buying their stuff then preparing for the next baits. The busiest beach life is in Sadeng beach. The beach have a fish auction place. Like another auction places, many people comes to get the best price. Hundreds of fish ship port at the beach. The fisherman get the fish from the sea near Cilacap and Pacitan.
They usually comeback at noon. The basket will full of fish and crabs. Many people will surrounding the fisherman to bargain. The seller and the fisherman look like two different politician who argued for their own right version. The fisherman will ask for higher price but the seller refused. They continued ''fishy debate'' until the certain prices agreed. Then the best tuna moved to another cold basket.
Tunas sold on auction, but not for crabs. Usually, crab have good price and the demand also more stable. So, the auction is not too necessary. There are many kinds of crab. Javanese called a certain crab as rajungan. It has tiny arms, big shell and orange dot on its entire body. When you come to the Sadeng be aware to get alive and fresh rajungan.
The beach where located in eastern side of Gunung Kidul, close to the Pacitan Regency border. You need more than two hours biking to reach the beach. You will see the most beautiful natural karst landscape. It's very high and extending for kilometers. The small persimmon tree plants on the top hill is wrap up by the sky of blue. The road is not bumpy. At the end of the road you have to open your window and smelling the sea. The water of blue away looks like a jewel behind a land.
At the south of the beach, there are rock and sand built for smashing wave. The beach used to be a eye-catching background for a picture. The wide horizon seems close to the sea. Boats passing through the sea with colorful design. The fisherman believes colors can uses as a lucky charm for the fishing.
