Yogyakarta, 20 November 2011- Melia Purosani Hotel part of Melia Hotel International has signed a partnership with UNICEF committed to participate on the Universal Children's Day by wearing Blue Ribbon to all employee and hotel guest as a symbol of our involvement to the children's rights.
Melia Purosani Hotel actively involve and mobilise resources to support UNICEF by giving US$ 1 donation from each room sold. Sunaryadi, chairman of Community Involvement Melia Purosani Hotel during the celebration of the Universal Children's Day at Melia Purosani Hotel explain,"This event is the least of our commitment and to the children's right." He added,"We would like to remind the society, this is our obligation to ensure that every children entitled to his rights."
"Children is the assets of the future, it is our obligatin as parents to nurture, guide, provide equal opportunity to the kids to develop their talent and to get education." Said Andrew Fernandez, General Manager of Melia Purosani Hotel. "Every children, regardles race, religion, economic and social status has to be treated equally and entitle to the rights that has been agreed in the Declaration of The Rights of The Child." Andrew added.
The United Nations approved the Declaration of the Rights of the Child during the convention which was held on 20 November 1959 and declared as the Universal Children's Day. Melia Purosani Hotel as a partner from UNICEF joins the celebration, by wearing the Blue Ribbon for the whole week. "We provide the Blue Ribbon in each guest rooms together with the information about the Universal Cildren's day and encourage all hotel's guests to participate and wear the blue ribbon." Said Bagus Dewa, Director of Sales Hotel Melia Purosani on the same occassion.
The modest ceremony held at Soka Lounge, Melia Purosani Hotel is the lasting commitment Melia Hotel International to the kids and Blue Ribbon will be put on by all employees and hotel's guests during the whole week.
